Law & License

    Citation (Discipline)

A streamlined disciplinary tool for specified minor violations, carrying a set penalty the licensee can pay rather than contest.

A citation is a fast-track disciplinary action for specific, clearly defined minor violations. It carries a set penalty, usually a fine, that the licensee can pay to resolve the matter without a full disciplinary hearing.

A licensee who disagrees with a citation may dispute it and request a hearing instead of paying.

    On the exam

A citation handles minor violations with a set fine the licensee can simply pay or contest.

    Exam trap

A citation is an administrative shortcut, not a criminal charge and not an automatic revocation.
