Introduction
Pass Florida (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) is a mobile application for Florida Real Estate Exam preparation. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application and website.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email and password if you sign up with email
- Name and email if you sign in with Google or Apple
You may also use the app as a guest without creating an account. Guest usage is limited and stored only on your device.
Study Data
As you use the app, we collect data related to your study activity:
- Questions answered and your selected answers
- Confidence ratings on answers
- Study session duration and timing
- Practice exam scores and results
- Spaced repetition scheduling data
- Math coach progress
- Notes you create
- Bookmarked questions
- Your preferences and settings (exam date, daily study goal, etc.)
Analytics Data (Opt-In Only)
Usage analytics are disabled by default. If you choose to enable analytics in Settings > Privacy > Usage Analytics, we collect anonymous usage events (such as which study modes you use) through Firebase Analytics to improve the app. You can disable this at any time.
Crash Reports
We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports and error logs. These contain no personally identifiable information and help us fix bugs and improve app stability.
2. How We Use Your Information

- To track your study streaks, accuracy, and readiness
- To send daily study reminders (if you enable notifications)
- To process your purchase and verify premium access
- To fix bugs and improve app performance
3. How We Store Your Data
Local Storage
All study data is stored locally on your device in a SQLite database. The app works fully offline.
Cloud Storage
If you create an account, your study data is synced to Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) so you can access it across devices. Your data is stored securely and associated with your user account.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication — Account creation and sign-in
- Google Cloud Firestore — Cloud data storage and sync
- Firebase Analytics — Usage analytics (opt-in only)
- RevenueCat — In-app purchase processing and entitlement management
- Sentry — Anonymous crash reporting
- Google Sign-In / Sign In with Apple — Third-party authentication
Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their handling of data.
5. Advertising and Tracking
Pass Florida does not contain any advertisements. We do not integrate with any advertising networks, cross-app tracking services, or data brokers. We do not collect or use the Apple Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with the third-party services listed above to the extent necessary to provide app functionality (authentication, data sync, purchase processing, and crash reporting).
7. Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- Delete Account — Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. This permanently removes your Firebase account and all cloud-stored data.
- Reset Progress — Go to Settings > Reset All Progress to clear all local study data while keeping your account.
When you delete your account, all data stored in Firebase (authentication records, study progress, notes, exam results, and preferences) is permanently deleted.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics collection at any time
- Use the app as a guest without providing personal information
9. Children's Privacy
Pass Florida is designed for adults preparing for the Florida Real Estate Sales Associate Exam. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
10. Notifications
The app may request permission to send local notifications for daily study reminders. Notifications are entirely optional and can be enabled or disabled in the app settings. We do not use push notification services or send marketing notifications.
11. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:
- Secure authentication with rate limiting on failed login attempts
- Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS
- Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated users
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
